PLEASE NOTE:  THIS IS AN IN-PERSON EVENT.

Join PRS for a private tour of Roses in the Paintings of the Masters with fine artist and 34 year veteran of The National Gallery of Art, Lisa Farrell. Brush up on your art history, and learn how artists have been using roses as symbols of love and beauty in their works of art for centuries. This program is a follow-up to Lisa’s popular February 2021 virtual presentation to PRS.  The tour will begin at 2 PM in the lobby of the East Building.  Meet in the seating area located to the left of the information booth.  The East Building entrance is located on 4th St. NW, near the corner of 4th and Pennsylvania Ave. NW. After entering the building, gather at the seating area located to the left of the information booth.

Please join us before the tour, at 1:30 PM, for an informal Rose Chat in the Terrace Cafe!
This is your opportunity to meet and greet other rose lovers, compare notes, and discuss plans for your 2023 rose gardens.  The Terrace Café, located in the East Building upper level atrium, offers stunning views of the National Mall, and serves a selection of hot and cold beverages, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and snacks. To reach the café, walk to the left of the information booth after entering the building, and take the elevator up to level U.

Lisa Farrell is a Fine Art Studio Artist, Graphic Designer and Exhibit Specialist at The National Gallery of Art, and creates presentation graphics for the NGA permanent collection and temporary exhibitions.  Learn more about Lisa and her work here:  https://www.lisafarrellstudio.com/   and visit her studio at The Brookland Arts Walk (studio #20) in Washington, D.
